Those well-traveled Barols cross the
pond on the legendary Liberté.

Here we have some great footage shot during two different crossings aboard the French Line's Liberté.  The first comes from a dear friend's family archives.  His parents sailed extensively by ship during the heyday of ocean travel, though sadly only hauled out the movie camera on two occasions that we know of.  The second is un-attributed orphan home movie footage, but the photographer did something rarely seen in these ship films, s/he actually tried to shoot footage inside the liner.  Though it's dark, it's still pretty cool!  Next we have some color home movies shot aboard the Mauretania on a "Sunshine" cruise to Cuba.  The film has been edited and includes music by the ship's own orchestra.  Next up is some footage from 1947 aboard the venerable Queen Elizabeth, with music by Ray Noble & His Orchestra.  Liner lovers with plotz for the black and white movie shot in New York Harbor in 1934.  If you can identify all the ships in this film, by all means, email me!  Music is A Reckless Night Aboard An Ocean Liner, provided by the Beau Hunks.  And lastly, on this page, a home movie shot aboard the Mauretania in 1948 during a westbound transatlantic, with music by the ship's own orchestra!  As always, your feedback is welcome!  Again, please enjoy these movies here and don't copy, thanks!
